How To Get Rid of Hiccups
Last year I figured out something awesome. I could stop hiccuping with my mind. Which has turned out to be really convenient since I have gotten them quite a bit lately.
The gist of what I did was simply to think "this ends now". Not just think it, mean it. You will not tolerate another hiccup. Don't get yourself worked up, it will only allow the hiccuping to continue. Instead, stay calm but assertive.
The first time I had to keep concentrating at that thought for two to three minutes. Now, as I've practiced quite a bit, I'd say it only takes about 20 seconds before I can move on to the next task. The first time, I lay down in bed, although I think sitting down will do the trick.
When you get the hiccups, don't move around and simply focus on your line of thought and your breathing. Slow your breathing down to a resting level. Keep at it until that funny feeling you get when you're going to hiccup goes completely away. It will within a short period of time. Your hiccups will now be completely gone.
Awesome, am I right?
